This little thing that we like to call “The Stream Experiment” has been going strong now for six years. During that time, we have achieved an astounding level of growth in the energy industry and have catapulted from just a few guys with laptop computers and BIG ambitions to one of the largest retail energy providers in Texas.

Stream Energy Chairman Rob Snyder has been tapped to appear at a prestigious industry conference, the KEMA Executive Forum, Friday April 8, 2011, in San Antonio.
Other speakers scheduled to appear before the leadership forum include the Chairman of FERC (Federal Energy Regulatory Commission), Jon Wellinghoff; the Chairman of the New York State Public Service Commission, Garry Brown; and the Chairman of the Public Utility Commission of Texas, Barry Smitherman.

Energy deregulation is a fairly recent phenomenon in the U.S., with only a handful of states such as Texas, Georgia and Pennsylvania currently allowing consumers the ability to select their power service providers. Given that energy deregulation is still in its infancy, consumer confusion is inevitable -- and especially within those jurisdictions where deregulation is new to consumer markets.
